/A Way Home Together Podcast

Ahmed is the former host of A Way Home Together: Stories of the Human Journey,  which uses the informal and intimate medium of podcasting to tell personal stories of people on the move, including migrants, refugees and those who have been deeply affected by different cultures. The podcast is supported by the UN Migration Agency and is part of the United Nations TOGETHER campaign.

In the first few episodes, Ahmed (himself a refugee from Iraq), speaks to members of his own family (including his 14-year old sister) and interviews other young refugees and migrants. In the process, listeners learn how their stories relate to profound trends in migration across the world.

The voices, laughter and emotional honesty of Ahmed's guests are examples of how A Way Home Together can help build a new narrative about migrants who share their hopes and dreams. Instead of hearing about them in a distant or abstract way, the audience gets up close and personal with people who in many ways are just like them.

Episodes are available on iTunes and other major podcasting platforms.
